Mommy Makeover

What is a mommy makeover? There's no exact thing that a mommy makeover is. It's generally, it's a combination of breast and tummy procedures typically done in mom's after having their children. They want to restore their body back to its pre-baby form. The most common combination that I do is either a breast lift or a reduction, with or without implants, and then a tummy tuck with liposuction. Almost all of my mommy makeovers get liposuction. We focus on the breasts. A lot of times, they'll have pockets of fat or deposits of fat on the chest wall, on the side of the breast that they want treated. So we can treat those with liposuction. We treat the back, those stubborn bra rolls that everybody hates. Not all of my mommy-makeover patients are mommies. I've done what we would consider to be a mommy-makeover patient on women who haven't had children at all, but they may have had weight-loss surgery, and they've lost significant amounts of weight. So they have the same issues with their body that women who've had children have. My mommy makeovers usually last between 4 to 6 hours. Most of my mommy-makeover patients can get back to normal daily activities in about 10 to 14 days. I think the main advantage to having your mommy makeover done here is that I can do everything right here in my office. My accredited OR is here. And a lot of my mommy makeovers that take in that 4-to-6 hour range, I want them to stay overnight. And we can do that in my facility, as well. And so we have nurses that stay with the patient, and then they can go home the next morning. So the advantage is that it can be done all in one location safely.
